After an amazing season of change, 44th Avenue Baptist Church has taken the new name of Providence Family Baptist Church.
In January, 2008, the Church recognized that God was leading us to sell our buildings and property. In spite of a downturn economy and an even worse real estate market, our property sold in two weeks, at our asking price, for cash, and with no contingencies! We, in fact, do serve a sovereign and provident God.

WE ARE EVANGELICAL in our practice of faith and are in substantial agreement with the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689 and the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.
WE USE THE NEW American Standard Bible - 1995 Update (NASB) in our services but believe that the King James Version continues to have great value in the life of the modern Christian.
WE ARE TRADITIONAL in our approach to worshiping God and we praise Him with a variety of hymns, choruses, and other music that we believe is honoring to our holy Lord.
