                       ...Formerly 44th Avenue Baptist Church...

We have come to understand over the years that no matter what our church background or denominational experience, the two most important aspects of our Christian lives are being faithful disciples of Jesus Christ and making new disciples for Jesus Christ.

In accomplishing these two vital tasks, our philosophy of ministry is simple: we come together as family, we preach and teach what the Bible preaches and teaches, and we try to live our lives as effective, fruitful followers of Jesus Christ.

In a nutshell, our work at Providence Family Baptist Church is to raise up godly generations of believers, ambassadors for the Lord Jesus Christ.

We're family and what we offer is the love of a family: lives centered on Jesus Christ and the Truth from the Bible, warmth, fellowship, service, and accountability.

A Little About Us...

We're conservative, but we practice the time-honored principle of Christian liberty: in the essentials of the Christian faith, we are uncompromising; in the non-essentials where there's disagreement, we're tolerant; in everything, we pursue an attitude of love and respect.

We're "reformed" Baptists, firmly holding to the sovereignty of God in all things, including salvation.  In His sovereignty, He has made it clear that we're to make disciples of all nations, serving as ambassadors for Jesus Christ, sharing the Gospel wherever we go.

We use the New American Standard Bible - 1995 Update (NASB) in our services, but believe that the King James Version continues to have great value in the life of the modern Christian.

We are in substantial agreement with the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689 and the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.

We have freedom in our music, and praise God with a variety of hymns, choruses, and other music we believe is honoring to God.  We especially value the Biblical doctrines found in the hymns and find that we sing them most often.
