WE ARE in substantial agreement with the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689 and the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message.
We believe that...
...the Bible is the complete, written Word of God. It is divinely inspired and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible has been preserved by God so that it is the authoritative standard for every age and every life.
...the Godhead exists eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God.
...God the Father, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent His Son, Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners. Except for the grace of God, every man would always choose sin and reject God rather than choose salvation.
...Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins, and was bodily raised from the dead. He ascended to heaven to be at the right hand of the Father, to intercede for His people, and to prepare a place for them.
...the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and that He possesses all divine attributes. His ministry is to indwell, baptize, and seal all believers at the moment of their salvation into the body of Christ, that is, His church, and fill them in response to how much of their lives they yield to Him.
...salvation occurs when by God's grace a person genuinely confesses and repents of sin and receives the complete forgiveness and permanent reconciliation with God through the blood of God's Son, Jesus Christ. Salvation has nothing to do with how good we are or think we are, and will not be withheld because of how bad we are or how bad we have been.
...a true believer is eternally secure. He cannot lose his salvation, but sin can interrupt the joy of his fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of his Heavenly Father.
...Jesus Christ will return bodily in power and glory and will judge the world in righteousness
